That's a tough one, but I'm going to have to go with the current year. Of course I'd like to be young again.
Many things about the 50's were simpler, and sweet, but I believe ignorance is bliss. I believe many of the things we complain about today were also occuring in the 50's, there just wasn't as much media telling you about them constantly. If we could just overcome our fears today we could have sweet times again. It is better to be informed, and therefore make informed judgements then it is assume everything is ok when ther is real danger out there.
Things I like about today:
Better medical care (remember being terrified of polio?)
Better electronics (CD's sure beat 45's for ease of care and clarity of sound)
Internet (I would probably never had a chance to meet any of you on this board in the 50's)
Travel (in the 50's many of us would ever have been able to afford visits to places like Lubbock, Clovis, or Clear Lake)
