 The release may have been timed to coincide with a minor revival of interest in Buddy Holly sounds in late '63. There were a couple of LP releases "I Remember Buddy Holly" by Bobby Vee as well as "Buddy's Buddy" by the currently hot Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs (with a great bluesy version of "Lonesome Tears"). Even the 45 Coral issue of "Bo Diddley"/"True Love Ways" got some airplay on Top 40 stations such as KYOS-Merced, CA.
