Mac & Jean, that was a great review and you prove that just because you've got a Bus Pass you're not too old to Rock'n'Roll and you made the Festival for me, with your cheery ways, knowledge and optimism.
Bill Griggs is right though when he talks of the time when legends like Jack Neal, Larry Welborn, Jimmy Gilmer & The Fireballs, String-a-Longs, Tommy and a lot of those who have recorded at the Studio played the CMF. It'd be great to have those back so maybe a few emails to Ernie Kos at the Clovis Chamber wouldn't do any harm as I know the Chamber are willing to listen to ideas.
I had been mentioning to them Kevin Montgomery for a couple of years having seen his band regulary in England and Crete and he made it last year and this, doing excellent note for note versions with Johnny Rogers of the Buddy & Bob (Holly in the Hills) stuff.
For Sid...As far as I'm aware the Chamber is a non-profit organsiation, and numbers were up this year, but without all the sponsorship I doubt the event would take place in the current format. I don't mind helping make the Hotels in NM and CO a healthy profit, as compared to the Backward thinking 3rd World country that we're becoming (Great Britain), your Hotels, Road Infrastructure, Driving manners and General hospitality and personal manners of all Americans I've ever met is vastly superior to anything here in the UK. (I'm probably only meeting the good ones, but believe it or not even your Homeland Security guys have a sense of humour - probably won't let me in next year now!)
Believe me, I've talked to Bill Griggs and he knows how stingy Brits can be with their coffee and service! He's travelled the world, he should know. So Americans be blessed with what you have. You've a great country and should be justly proud of it.

PS Your Gas is miles cheaper too, food, clothes, cd's etc etc...
