 Let's remember Elvis; who served in the Army from 1958 to 1960. He was a tank driver (or commander) who reached the rank of Sergeant. Also, Fred Parris who served in the mid-50's. Fred was the writer of one of the greatest doo-wop songs of all time: "(I Remember) In The Still Of The Night". Fred was also lead singer of the Five Satins, the group who recorded that immortal masterpiece.
