Well, almost 2 times the length of a football field, not
2 1/2 times. Duhhhh.
Anyway, the high speed impact of the rightward tilting rightside wing (front passenger side wing) and then the ensuing violent cartwheeling should've ruptured the fuel tank, spilling and spewing the fuel along the ground during the 540 feet of cartwheeling. That would be the reason for there being no fire at the wreckage's final stopping point.

It was murderously COLD AND WINDY when the investigators were out there checking things out. They weren't about to bend down and crawl along the ground for 500 feet sniffing for smells of fuel disbursement along the ground. Besides, there had been a good 9-10 hours of light snowfall after the crash that covered the ground. They would have had to use shovels and a cleared the snow off of the ground to even have a chance of smelling the spilled fuel.
