 As an almost 44 year old 1950s rock and roll, and music fan from the UK, I have just this evening stumbled upon the fantastic talent of JESSE BELVIN.

I cannot believe that I have never heard of him, or his music before. I recognise the song 'Goodnight, My Love', but the rest is all new to me. I see a similar who is similar to Jackie Wilson, but without the range, and more of an easy listening type of singer. Fantastic, all the same. I am enjoying it.

And he died tragically, car crash, with his wife, on Feb 6th 1960...just over a year on from Buddy, Ritchie and Jape. After a show with Sam Cooke,in Arkansas.



*I've just realised I am soon to be 44, and that means I've lived twice as long as Buddy did. Wow...he is still the man and always will be.
