**After Sheriff Allen received the glasses from Albert Juel, who had been plowing the field with a large lumbering tractor, and somehow/someway found a large number of little tiny items buried in the dirt without plowing them under?**
I think Dwight has missed the other thread where I mentioned the guy who found the glasses wasn't Juhl, and they were found the day of the crash by a bystander who gave them to an officer at the scene. Given Allen was out of town the day of the crash, they probably got thrown in an envelope as evidence. I'm sure 99% assumed at the time that even knew of Buddy Holly enough to know he wore glasses figured they were forever lost in the carnage. No one went rifling through "evidence" since there was no suspicion of foul play (save for small-town gossip). The stuff was filed until the move of the county records in the late 70s.
