 We all know that sid has some sort of issue with J.I. so it's no mystery that he would make a point of bidding so low on that item.
I agree with Mike C's comments about the self-depreciating humor and if it's any consolation to sid, that contest with J.I. (which probably will never take place in real life) has already taken place in a virtual reality "Battle of The Bands" between the Cavaliers and the post-Holly Crickets. This simulated battle was presented to my friend Marshall Weeks in the form of playing the Cavaliers' CD (which is quite excellent by the way, and surprisingly so) back to back with Crickets videos on YouTube. I let Marshall choose the winner which was...the Cavaliers! It was no blowout, no mid to late 80s NFC over AFC squad in the Super Bowl. It was more like a field goal in overtime or an RBI double in the 10th inning. Marshall particularly liked the live concert setting of the San Angelo Youth Center in 1957 as like a time capsule excavation. Well, so much for that, now it's back to reality.
