Any erra, like today for example isn't all sunshine and roses either. The world can be a gray and sad place no matter in the 1950's or in the 2010's.
The death of those three guys, but mostly the death of Ritchie was something that is still sad to this day and sometimes I think about how would it have been had he not died.
Sometimes through films or tv shows, there are some things about any decade that facts and truths get mixed up. Like, the whole 'poodle skirt. I know that some people who grew up during the 50's said that they remember them and had one, and then you have some people that never saw one in their life. So, it's things like that, that get seen through rose colored glasses, or as a stairio type.
