 I am a big fan of some of the pre Beatles artists that were recorded by UK producer Joe Meek, such as Mike Berry, Don Charles and many more. I also think Johnny Kidd and the Pirates are great. I think it is interesting to hear how our USA rock and roll influenced the bands and singers in the UK, then how they influenced us in return, later on. You can hear Buddy Holly and the Crickets in a lot of it, I think.
