 How right you are, Cleftonefan. 1959 was the year for transistor radios. I had my first one in that year, quite a large red job, and remember holding it up to my ear at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as Vin Scully excitedly said about the second year in L.A. Dodgers beating the Milwaukee Braves in the N.L playoff series: "Hodges scores, we go to Chicago!"
