*** If Lennon had said to me the "Rock 'n' Roll" sessions lacked the drive that The Beatles had, my reply would've been: "Well John, if you feel that is the case, how about recording a potential "More Rock 'n' Roll" album, only this time, why not have Ringo Starr on Drums, Paul McCartney on Bass, & George Harrison on Lead & Rhythm Guitar, & YOU handling all the Vocals, not to mention, Piano, & YOUR Guitars? Needless to say, I cannot help but wonder, what his response would've been! ***
I think he would have said "If we'd be trying to capture the Cavern Club feel, we'd need our original drummer, Pete Best."
