As a Buddy Holly fan who has attended the Clear Lake tributes year after year, I have met the Dwyers & consider them among the many friends I've made while attending the tribute weekends that I look forward to catching up with every year. Same holds true for a majority of people who have been fortunate enough to meet them.
To hear an author, who, as a Buddy Holly fan, I had never heard of prior to his writing this book, claim to be an expert of any sort on the subject and relentlessly pursue two people that have long become a part of the "Buddy Holly community" as far as any Holly fans that have attended the Surf can attest to, just sickens me.
