We all have our own opinions on things (which is why we don't discuss religion & politics on this board). To be truthful I have not read the Amburn book (and do not have a copy); if I read it, I would be too much in danger of a strong negative emotional backlash because of some of my disabilities. I'm going by what other people, especially Bill Griggs, said about it. Amburn was following the Albert Goldman "tradition" of trashing the lives of deceased celebrities. And true, just about all books contain some errors, some more than others.
I liked Larry Holley's book; he concentrates on his own life and dedicates the book to his deceased wife. However, the only pictures of Buddy are childhood photos; I prefer to see pictures of Buddy Holly as a man.
