Even though Bill Haley may not have the name recognition of an Elvis Presley, I think the same niche market that bought the Holly books would consider buying the Haley book.
I'll admit a great regret in not buying the last Australian tour book. I think Roddy's first foray into the subject of Australian Rock-n-Roll tours, the Buddy Holly book, left me a little gunshy, because after paying a substantial amount for the book, another, much-improved edition came out, and I felt like I really missed out. Having said that, I really enjoy the Holly book, even the small photos (which I wish were just a little bigger.) So as long as we don't get burned waiting for a revision, and know the one and only complete first edition is what we're getting, I won't miss the boat on this one.
Forget the doubters - which number one person posting several times - this book has an audience in the US and abroad. Casual Holly fans did not buy the first book - fiercely loyal fans of 50s rock-n-roll did. I would expect the sales to be just under the last book, given its singular focus. However, with the right kind of social media marketing - everyone buying it raving about it on Facebook - you might just approach the numbers of the Holly book.
