I agree with most of what you say, but I really like the digital media. As background, I live in a small town, and by the time we got movies here they had already been shown many, many times. There was often huge scratches and lots of repaired breaks, sometimes witm fairly large sections of missing film. With digital projectors, the "film" looks great every time. You'll never get to see the film burn through in the middle of a scene again.
