In reply to: Ben 's message, "SiriusXM Radio" on Sat August 04, 2012 11:57:22

Up to the year 1964.
I have been a subscriber to XM before the merger with Sirius and in my opinion XM was More dedicated to the music
Example. The 50's on 5 ( part of the decade chanhels) focused on the years 1950- to roughly before the British Invasion. No Beach Boys, Beatles, etc.
There were some great original programing.
Rockabilly Roadtrip
The Strip (50's Rat Pack Music)
Harlem (Early R&B before rock n roll)
Pink & Black Days ( local Memphis scene)
? show ( it featured 50's pop, such as Johmny Ray, Frankie Laine, Rosemary Clooney)
Now after the merger it is pretty much your typical oldies station.
Shame
