*** Nice on the added info Mike! In retrospect, I should have said, "Rock and roll was done with Jerry Lee Lewis, but The Killer was not done with rock and roll!" ***

Oh, I didn't think you meant anything bad or that he quit rockin' and rollin' : What you stated above is what I figured you meant and I see that it was... I just wanted clarify it to others that Mr. Lewis did indeed continue to cut rock 'n roll records... That said, the way you phrased your statement above was well said, and very true...

*** Opinions have their place on this message board - Not everyone is a fan of Jerry Lee Lewis, we get that - still the facts surrounding the man stand on their own. ***

Agreed, and I have no problem with others not caring for Jerry Lee's music, I just wanted to clarify a few things... And for the record, I like Buddy Holly's works as a "solo" and with The Crickets... I'm not trying to come across as not being a Holly fan...

*** Another piano-pounding gentlemen from the 50s deserves mention: Fats Domino! He made national news in 2005 due to Hurricane Katrina, and has performed once or twice in New Orleans since then. Amazingly, his playing and singing sound almost identical to his original recordings. He has stated that he will no longer perform when he is unable to meet that standard, so it's possible we may not hear from him again. ***

Agreed, Mr. Domino is a very good artist... I didn't realize he performed once or twice following the hurricane...
