Two points to keep in mind concerning this controversy:

1. If anyone could make such a good job of faking Buddy & JI's speaking voices would it not be logical for them to get into a studio and record a few 'BH songs' also? After all there is still money is that (and even if the hoaxer could not sing, the TaySwiftInTune voice correction software could be applied :)

2. 'Magazine' radio programmes were made by BBC regional stations in the 1950s (I was not aware of any at the time as we lived near London and received the national output). It is the national output which is archived in the written and printed records of the BBC. So a search will reveal nothing until the local archives are researched .... if they even exist.

Thus I find it quite feasable that this recording was made by someone for the purpose of broadcast in the area where the Crickets were appearing on tour in 1958. Whether it was broadcast is another matter .... but I remain convinced that the recording is genuine.
