It was first recorded at Miller's Crowley studio by Al (Alice) McDonald, a pump jockey from the nearby town of Washington. Kitty Wells' agent happened to visit the studio soon afterwards, liked the song, Miller withdrew it from sale, and the rest is history. Al's version, I believe, exists only in a much-scratched 78 demo. Sorry it was a trick question.
