The interview excerpts and song are genuine, the interview from Alan Freed's TV show in October 1958. I believe this was an audio recording made by the late Val Warren while the show was on TV. The video is not authentic. Although the young man does greatly resemble Buddy Holly and appears to be playing a Fender Stratocaster with all down strokes(as Buddy did), it's a recreation. For one, the glasses are wrong for late 1958; in some scenes the hair is too curly. The shadowy filming is a big red flag. At the end of the brief video, the actors names are listed as to who portrayed whom.
