I don't know if that's true or not: After all, he did the song on his "Black and White Night" TV special... And, I've never seen him live and in person so I can't say if this is true, or how often he did the song in his live shows, but I know he said around the time Elvis started to add "That's All Right" to his shows, that Roy started to add "Ooby Dooby" to his set list.

And you're right, it's not a bad song at all... It was a charting record, granted not top 40, but a modest charter nonetheless... I'd choose "Ooby Dooby" over his record "Chicken Hearted" any day...
