 I wonder if J.I.Allison can recall the Bell session. Mulligan recalled that Norman Petty had said in an interview that J.I. and Buddy had worked closely together on "Rave On".
We know that Al Caiola and Donald Arnone were credited with being on the session, but my ears tell me that there is only one guitar, and the style is that of Buddy Holly; quite different from Al and Don.
I'm sure we'd all like to know if Al or Don or both or neither played on this recording.
