 In 1991, I met Danny and the Juniors when they performed in Portsmouth, Ohio. They were judging a 50s look alike contest after the show and I dressed up as Buddy Holly and sang Peggy Sue and Maybe Baby. I won dinner with them.
A couple of years later, I would perform with them on stage in singing Maybe Baby and Oh Boy. The following night, I would open the show for them and sing Maybe Baby and We Belong Together. It was Joe Terry of Danny and the Juniors who offered me the chance to perform those nights and I have never forgotten the experience.
Joe Terry died today at age 78. Rest in Peace Joe. Many thanks for the great music and an experience that I will never forget.
