Here is another even more recent youtube upload by a different user "jacob6657". His approach is different than that of amigoivey, but they share the ethic of not adding any new instrumentation to create a stereo effect.

To my ear it sounds as though (using e.q.) he isolated
drums, lead guitar, and vocals. He then used these 3
"tracks" to create a rough and ready faux stereo mix.

Not quite as skillfully done as most of the amigoivy efforts, but interesting and appreciated.

I also listened to the previously mentioned "stereo" vid
of That'll Be The Day, this time on headphones, and I am embarrassed to say, the new, extraneous guitar overdub is obvious!
