Here's another gem I found on youtube:

"This is the original demo of "I Go To Pieces", as written, produced and arranged by Del Shannon. Del had no luck shopping the demo around; later in the year, in Australia, he pitched the tune to The Searchers, who passed on it. Peter & Gordon, also on that package tour, loved it, recording it at Abbey Road Studios around October, 1964.
Released in December, and an American Top 10 hit in early 1965."

Vocal on the demo is Lloyd Brown:
