I had the very great luck to have met Mr. Blaine approx. 15 years ago.

It was at a clinic put on by a musical instrument shop.

Although only scheduled for 45 minutes, and suffering from a cold, Mr. Blaine spoke to the 35 lucky attendees for a full 2 hours. That afternoon is among the highest moments of my life as a music fan.

I will not make any attempt to describe his astonishing body of work here, but I strongly urge all of you to research his career online.

You will be amazed, and come away with a far greater understanding as to why all those classic oldies continue to sound so darn good!

Do this: Reach as high as you can, as if to try and touch the ceiling. That is where Mr. Blaine's talent and character as a person can be found.

Now, reach down to the floor as if to try and tie your shoe.
That is where Hal kept his ego.

Now you have some idea as to why he is a legend among legends.

Shalom Mr. Blaine, and thank you
