 I am so sad to learn of the passing of Ray Rush.

The Roses were a much better fir for the sound of Buddy Holly than were the Picks.

We all know what Buddy had planed if not for the crash.

Regarding the classic 1958 album on Coral, I would like anyone who has any 2 of the three official versions listed above to chime in with a comparison opinion.

How does the 1958 original stack up vs. the 1996 MCA heavy vinyl series or the 2017 even heavier Analogue Productions release? For that matter, how do those 2 compare to each other? Both were mastered by Kevin Gray, presumably from the same source tape, and both are all analogue.

I don't need to hear about any digital or Cd versions.

Save those comparisons for another thread please.

I ask because I have the 1996 edition and wonder if the 2017 pressing is noticeably better sounding.
