 "The Rock & Roll Collection" was one of the first Holly albums I bought. I didn't know at the time about the vocal mixup until Goldrosen mentioned it in his book, as an example of the lousy job the record company was doing with Buddy's legacy.

My biggest objection to the album is the ugly fake stereo/excessive reverb they added to "enhance" and "modernize" Holly & the Crickets' sound. I didn't really appreciate the records until I heard later, more accurate releases.
