All right, I got the CD on Wednesday; today (11/24/18) was the first day I had time and energy to play it.

I read the liner notes written by whatshername (did she really write that?) and Peter Bradley, Sr. The tiny print is hard for aging eyes to read. And whatshername is listed as “executive producer”. The pictures are all ones that I had seen before and have copies of.

Of course, Buddy Holly’s performance is flawless. Listening to his voice is always wonderful; I’ve been hearing his voice for 61 years and always enjoy his music.

On the tracks that were originally done with Dick Jacob’s orchestra, the music works good. However, on the other tracks, the music sometimes overwhelms Buddy’s singing, especially on “Words of Love” (my alltime favorite song), “Maybe Baby”, and “Rave On”. I don’t recommend buying the CD unless (like me) you have to have “everything” about Buddy Holly.
