 Although Snuff Garrett claims the guitarist was Barney Kessel on 'Rubber Ball', the session contract, obtained from the Musicians Union in Hollywood, reveals the guitarist was jazz great Howard Roberts. Howie also played guitar on Vee's earlier Liberty 45s, 'Devil Or Angel' and 'One Last Kiss'. The three girls brought in to do the 'bouncy bouncies' on the song were not members of the JM Singers.
