*** Sad to think that as Dion gets older, maybe he fears that the only thing he'll be remembered for is being on the Winter Dance Party tour, so makes himself a bigger part of the story. ***

I wouldn't think that's the case... IMO (and I'm sure many others), Dion is remembered far more for "Teenager in Love" (with The Belmonts), "Runaround Sue", "The Wanderer", and "Abraham, Martin, and John" among many other big hits than being part of the WDP...

It seems that half the time, it's not even mentioned that he and The Belmonts were on the WDP tour... IIRC, it's mentioned in the film "The Buddy Holly Story", but not mentioned at all in "La Bamba"... And John Mueller's WDP tribute overlooks the fact by not even mentioning Dion/The Belmonts and as far as I know, he's never attempted to get someone to do their songs in the show either... (And I've seen John Mueller's WDP show touted as "recreating the night": Well, if it's a true recreation, why leave a major act out of the line-up?)
