It's well known that Archie married Janet Ertel, bass singer in the group, and that Janet's daughter Jackie (Archie's stepdaughter) married Phil Everly. Probably less recognised, in this is neck of the woods at least, is the very significant part Jackie played in music history, by persuading Archie to release a Link Wray tune called "Oddball" (which Archie hated) and renaming it "Rumble".
