Subject: The TPSA rules state "NO TRACTION CONTROL DEVICES PERMITTED". In NHRA/IHRA racing only the MSD 7530T box is legal and since most of the later model cars in TPSA are ex pro stock cars this is the box they use. Also, any team that races other events (IHRA/NHRA) will use the "T" box. The 7531 MSD box is capable of creating a "slew rate", but the box itself is legal for TPSA and a couple of teams run 'em. Per the current rules, a Davis box is illegal, as is a MSD7561 or similiar products.
