They have donated hundreds of hours of their time to the TPSA and wouldn't take a nickel for it. Gene and his wife Sue, went on their dream vacation, a motorcyle trip that began in Washington State, through Canada, and into Alaska. Everything went smoothly until the return trip last Friday (June 5th) when, just south of the Alaskan/Canada border a car pulled out in front of them. Gene swerved to miss the car and his bike ended up in the ditch and threw Gene over the bars. The result of the accident was a broken pelvis that had to be pinned, but thankfully, no life threatening injuries. Sue escaped injury. Gene is in a Canadian Hospital but expects to return home in about a week. Please keep the Platt family in your thoughts & prayers. Gene, if you're readin' this, get well soon ya ol' coot! I'll post the room number and address ASAP. He's resting comfortably, albeit with some medication, and the hope is he can go home in a couple of weeks. He still faces up to six months rehab before he can go back to work.
