Subject: Gene has made it home, he still can't do much but he can talk on the phone. He would glad to hear from ya'll, his home number is 254-729-5720. Hope to see all ya'll soon.
In reply to: DH 's message, "Most of the members have been around long enough to know Gene & Tommy Platt. They have donated hundreds of hours of their time to the TPSA and wouldn't take a nickel for it. Gene and his wife Sue, went on their dream vacation, a motorcyle trip that began in Washington State, through Canada, and into Alaska. Everything went smoothly until the return trip last Friday (June 5th) when, just south of the Alaskan/Canada border a car pulled out in front of them. Gene swerved to miss the car and his bike ended up in the ditch and threw Gene over the bars. The result of the accident was a broken pelvis that had to be pinned, but thankfully, no life threatening injuries. Sue escaped injury. Gene is in a Canadian Hospital but expects to return home in about a week. Please keep the Platt family in your thoughts & prayers.
