I agree that the disappearance of Lauren Davis is "strange" but I honestly couldn't stand the character. The actress seemed to be good at her job--in that I don't think the audience is supposed to like Lauren Davis, she has too much attitude and is too prudish and prissy. I haven't even thought about her absense, since like the first 1 or 2 episodes.

As far as the pedophile priest storyline . . . Why make the assumption that the show is maligning all priests when the show is merely adressing a current event? Any show on tv today--of this nature: realistically dramatizing/examining various social topics and settings is inclined (if not expected) to adress the pedophile priest issue--there have been too many cases in the news to ignore it.

What was really dissappointing about last night's episode was how they conveniently found an "out" for the principle. They should have used a stronger storyline for that situation. The drama building up to the racist father's death was pretty decent--plot wise. The lawyers/police were too quick to
jump at "homicide" and the resolution was too contrived.
