Critical undefined term in your argument--"respect and human decency to which I am entitled." People with differing opinions on any given bugaboo may have different opinions about what you are entitled to. Someone who hates you might think that, for whatever reason they hate you, you are entitled to nothing more than a thrashing on sight.

Just an observation on the structure of your argument.
