Perhaps. But in any real discussion I've been in on the subject, *somebody* brought up the H-word, the S-word, the D-and-W-words, Q, F, M, P, D, the other S, J, and a whole host of others. It would have been more realistic, even within the context of Black History Month.

I don't know. I've seen it used before both with and without disclaimers (the first time being on Hawaii Five-O when Dan had to go undercover as a white supremacist). But outside of Scared Straight, (and a few uncensored movies during the late '80s, while the FCC had a particularly ambiguous regulation), I've never seen the F-word or the S-word go unpunished.

BTW, Su--nice to read a post that is actually ON the subject of the thread.
