"On some level?" What do you mean by this? We want you to feel sorry for what ya done, but we don't want to inconvenience you in any way? It really isn't a school issue--that is, something for them to discipline. It's a legal issue. Isn't the law supposed to apply equally to everyone? You take your fair day in court, and hope your case stands.
