Subject: What Exactly does Pro-Life Mean?

What exactly does the term "pro-life" mean? Can one be pro-life when it comes to abortions, but for capital punishment? Can one support war while at the same time opposing abortions? Are there moral distinctions that can be drawn between these three examples of abortion, capital punishment and war? Is it, or is it not, important to be consistent when discussing the morality of these three examples? Is there a correlation between these three examples or are they entirely different?

These are questions currently being asked on EarthForum's Interactive Editorial Page at http://members.aol.com/EarthForum2/mboard1a.htm as it relates to the issue of pro-life and abortion. If you would care to join in on the discussion of this issue now, as creator and host of EarthForum I invite you to stop by and share your viewpoints on this. (All viewpoints are welcome!) The discussion on abortion begins at the bottom of the message board that the above link will take you to.
