Thom Schuller was the finest Headmaster Scarborough had during my ten years there - and from what I've heard, very likely its best ever.

When he left for that job in Beirut and took Sully with him in 55 or 56, it was a great blow to the school on the order of the retirements of Major and Mrs. Price. He is fondly remembered, by me and many of those I know who were there during his tenure. Thanks for posting his address here.

Thanks for the information on the hearty and robust Tom Schuller. Now how about the rather taciturn and morose but rather charming, in his way, Mr. Haber (first name?) Before he became an unhappy administrator he taught English and I seem to remember from his classroom (up the winding stairs next to the library) a kind of conflation of the tales of Johnny Tremain and the bawdy James Boswell. Does anyone have any recollection of this or of the whereabouts or fate of the hapless Haber? I'd love to write him a note of appreciation. (Also, Mr. Gray or Miss Morely, daughter of the well-known poet.....?)
I was at Scarborough from 3rd grade through 9th, 1948-54 when I left to finish high school in Hanover, NH. My stepdad, Armand Gilinsky, was head of the school board, and a very lovely guy - and I used to come back and visit at the school with my sibs, Armand jr/ "Skoker," Adam, and Annie Gilinsky on River Road. Many happy memories of Scarborough and delighted with this opportunity to relive some of them!

Peter meant Tom Huebner, and we've all been in touch,
so this was cleared up a couple of years ago.
