I was there starting 1959 in Seventh grade and graduating in 1964. I remember seeing the burned out building. I I remember correctly, a lovely brown shingled building that was one a stable? Didn't see the fire itself. I remember meeting a teacher there that moved to somewhere exotic, like Beirut.
Mr. Main was my favorite and in retrospect I think highly of Mr. Stillman. I believe he was overqualified for the job but possibly had to take the job due to being blacklisted during the McCarthy era. Just a theory, his history which I found on the web is most interesting.
