What you have written seems unarguably true. The quickest way to stop Hitler would have been to go in all guns blazing from day one. However we can not live in an world where we go in all guns blazing. We cannot arrest people just because we think they are going to commit a crime. We cannot even arrest people if we know they are going to commit a crime and even then within our society people are innocent until proven guilty. This is because we live in a free society and it is this freedom that the millions of people who died in the war gave their lives for.

If we had attacked Hitler first we would have been as bad as him.
