Subject: Family of John Walker born 1820 in tennessee moved to Arkansas in 1850

 Looking for any information on John Walker B. 1820 in Tennessee. Married Margaret Wood B. abt 1820 TN they Moved to Arkansas Abt 1850 Jefferson County Darysaw township He is listed with his Children as follows Betsey Walker b.Abt 1841 TN.George Walker b.Abt 1842 TN. Andrew Jackson Walker b. Abt. 1844 TN. James Walker b. Abt 1845 TN. Richard Walker b. Abt. 1845 TN. Isaac Walker b. Mar 1847 TN. Philip Archibald Walker ( my GG Grandfather) b. Abt 1850 TN. Mary M Walker b.Aug 1850 Grant County, Darysaw Arkansas. Franklin Walker b. Abt 1852 Arkansas.died 1882. Sally E Walker b.Abt 1853 Ark. Alvin Walker b. Abt 1855 Ark. John L Walker Jr b. Abt 1860 Ark. Laura M Walker b. Abt. 1868 Ark. I have no information about any of this family prior to 1850 any help at all please ! I have been searching for this info on John Walker for many years and I know someone out there has the clues I need to trace him back to Tennessee. John walker has listed his father as being born in Tennessee as well and his mothers birth place as Georgia.

Interesting that Margaret WOOD b.1820 TN, m.John Walker b.1820 TN. I have been researching Allen WOOD Walker b.1812 Franklin County, TN, m.Bethany Emaline Howard b.1814 SC. Allen's middle name WOOD is most definitely a surname. There were more than one Allen Wood in TN pre-1850 TN censuses. Too bad you don't know anymore about Margaret's parents, siblings, etc. I'll bet she and Allen are connected somehow. Good luck in your search.
