Interesting that Margaret WOOD b.1820 TN, m.John Walker b.1820 TN. I have been researching Allen WOOD Walker b.1812 Franklin County, TN, m.Bethany Emaline Howard b.1814 SC. Allen's middle name WOOD is most definitely a surname. There were more than one Allen Wood in TN pre-1850 TN censuses. Too bad you don't know anymore about Margaret's parents, siblings, etc. I'll bet she and Allen are connected somehow. Good luck in your search.

John W Walker married my ancestor Ajesty Smith in 1869. She was previously married to Calvin Norris in Hardeman Co TN and then to James Wardlaw in Jefferson Co AR.

Unfortunately I don't know anything about John W's parents except what I've seen on Ancestry.com
