Well I may Have done it.!!
Back to IVAN and our second lesson.
He was very pleased with Hecs progress last week-he even smiled a few times.=) I think it was IVANS test-to see if I was serious about training the dog. Guess we passed=).
#1-Hec is sitting and I am at a right angle to him-standing. I command HEEL!! and Hec is to go to heel possition at my side-sitting straight and with eye contact or he gets corrected for one or the othet he messed up.
#2 tiny tiny steps in extreemly short straight heeling sessions. Keeping eye contact and heeling in correct position. VERY short sessions on this-same thing-if he messes up one or the other-eye contact-or bad heeling-he gets corrected. SHORTTTTT sessions. AS SOON as he does it-release-praise and play ball or tug. Its a hard transition for the dog to make at first-but Hector is getting it. I am keeping it slow and easy-AND fun when he does it correctly-as in toy time!!
#3 And as usual the last lessons are kept up on also.
OK?? deb =[) Are we having FUN yet? I am !!!
