well, it was a very interesting and lovely day at the regionals. It was a bit nippy (translation: FREAKING COLD!) but the regional club jackets many of us had gotten before the USA nationals came in handy and we all sort of look 'cohesive' in maroon and black... Got to see Cathy Jobe and her GSD Cliff... NICE TEAM! I think the dog actually outweighed Cathy but she had complete control of him at all times... 99,99,99... hard to beat that.. and no one did. There were two 100 pnt tracks.. one was a SchHIII (Dena's dog) and one a FH2 (Trixie, one of Dave Kroyer's - his other FH Dax did a 99 I think). There were two Dobermans there, SchHIIIs and both passed. One was Eik and Angel and the other was Andrea Turkia and Dazz from Arkansas - he looked very nice in his obedience. I think they were the only non-GSD breed there... no Mals or DSs - although there was a REALLY cute Pit Bull bitch that was just a doll and a sweet little Australian Shepherd that was fuzzy as all get out and obviously not bothered by the cold north winds! And Peggy's and her daughter's rottie pups... I am making best friends NOW with the one Peg is keeping so it doesn't hate me!!!
The new rule book it out and it is like $30! But Carla said it was 'really pretty' and that it was loose leafed so that when they make frequent rule changes (hahha) they can just send out a replacement page.
There is now a written exam that is required to be taken before the BH - ugh - it is in affect now... and from what I was told it will be stuff about 'the breed', which to USA of course, is the GSD, but no one really knows yet what exactly it is all about it seems... I guess we will get to see :) ugh... I tried REAL hard not to have to find out first hand!!!... groan...B-)
