Hair ties!! I bet Hector ate 200 of those things when he was young-hed swipe them even take them off my hair and eat them-Im still finding those things on the grounds all around out here!!
This is obstruction # 2 for me. The other was carpet eating-long strands of the carpet. I had him also to vet fast and no intestines were removed. The rimadyl killed him. And he was really sick the week after the sugery before he died-from the drug. A very ugly death. Pfizer DID loose the class action suit over that drug-but is still marketing it and even now advertising it for surgical aftercare pain.It was used sold to humans for joint pain first as I understand it-and they had so much trouble they took it off the market-then started giving it to our dogs.I wont use the stuff. It killed Ripples. Hec seems fine-he yelled when I picked him up to get him out of the car. But that was it. He's been on the couch all night and went out to pee. No problems yet. Keeping fingers crossed though. You never know.Kerist cant they chew anything that doesnt get stuck or wear the teeth off fast? Muzzles all the time would suck.
I saw a dog on Emergency Vet. the tv show-that had been eating round stones for ever-had a load of em-till finally he could hold no more..My own vet watched her GSD eat a WHOLE intact tennis ball--he crapped it out. Said she about had a fit! Started doing xrays-and watched via xray as it went right on through..WEIRD!!! Thats a pretty large thing to crap out there. Hecs rubber piece is the size of a half dollar almost.
