Peeing coffee colored urine & having a family history is how my father was diagnosed. That's not coffee, it's flakes of dried blood.

Go get it checked out. Don't ever let your insurance lapse. Don't tell new employers about your disease.

Stop eating animal protein, no more than 1500mg of sodium per day & no more than 2 cups of coffee per day.

Stop taking aspirin, motrin, ibuprofen, etc for pain. All you can have for pain is Tylenol & Tylenol-based products.

Get your blood pressure under control. It's caused by your PKD.

Exercise everyday. Even a 30 minute walk counts.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do. Remember, you're not alone, there are 12.5 million worldwide just like you. :)
